The Data Scientist will be a member of the IT Team, and will report to the Chief Information Officer, working with multiple business teams to maintain current systems and leverage enterprise data for reporting and data modeling.

The ideal candidate will support our product, sales, leadership, and marketing teams with insights gained from analyzing company data and will have a background in Finance. They must have strong experience using a variety of data mining/data analysis methods in addition to using a variety of data tools, building, and implementing models, using/creating algorithms, and creating/running simulations. They must have a proven ability to drive business results with their data-based insights and must be comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders and functional teams. The right candidate will have a passion for discovering solutions hidden in large data sets and working with stakeholders to improve business outcomes. This position requires critical thinking, collaboration, and understanding of current and future database structure within our fast-paced environment. The Data Scientist will be an essential asset to the entire company through excellent leadership and innovative thinking which will support business growth and enhance our reputation.

This individual must also come with managerial experience and ability to manage varying personalities and responsibilities.



  • Use large data sets to find opportunities for product and process optimization
  • Use models to test the effectiveness of different courses of action
  • Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveragingcompany data to drive business solutions
  • Implement and maintain custom SQL reporting and business intelligence tools as required bythe enterprise
  • Provide proactive and reactive data management support
  • Optimize queries to maintain database performance
  • Develop plans for process improvement and automation alongside department heads andsubject matter experts
  • Maintain the standards consistent with current IT protocols and procedures and implementaction plans as needed for change management
  • Mine and analyze data from company databases to drive optimization and improvement ofproduct development, marketing techniques and business strategies
  • Create and maintain training manuals and documentation of reports and projects completed
  • Create, modify, and understand ERDs
  • Build and maintain database systems based off ERDs
  • Perform tests to ensure data security, privacy, and integrity
  • Provide new or alternative sources of data via API's and/or ETL pipelines
  • Other duties as assigned



  • 5 years professional experience
  • Financial background in bankingpreferred
  • 2-5 years of experience with SQL Server 2016, designing, implementing, modifying, anddebugging complex queries and stored procedures
  • 2-5 years of experience managing a SQL Server
  • Experience using statistical computer languages (R, Python, SLQ, JAVA, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets
  • Highly skilled in math and statistics
  • Experience in/with:
    • Business Intelligence Reporting development using SSMS and Excel
    • Einstein and Salesforce Analytics
    • Software and Hardware troubleshooting
    • Data Mining
    • Data Warehousing
    • Data visualization/storytelling
    • Python, R, JAVA, SQL, PowerBI
    • Economic Principles
    • Big Data
    • Machine Learning
